Wound Expert from Bacolod Talks About Essential Foot Care
Dr. Chinkin Coruña provided new insight on non-negotiable standards when perforning a foot exam or performing basic or advanced wound care. Dr. Coruña is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot, ankle, and wound care based in Bacolod. He educated health professionals on the care for diabetic foot ulcers.
We extend warm congratulations to Dr. Chinkin Coruña for his active participation during the 7th Annual Convention of the Philippine Orthopedic Wound Care and Diabetic Limb Society (POWCDLS) in Quezon City last September 11-12, 2026. The theme of this year’s meeting confronts the difficult moments in wound care and limb preservation: When healing does not progress, warning signs are overlooked, current management is no longer enough, with greater consequences for the patients. This is a topic Dr. Coruña talks about consistently and is very dear to his heart. He educates on the matter as a sought-after expert on the field.
