Severe Foot & Ankle Deformity in the Philippines
On its fourth mission to the Philippines, Steps2Walk conducts programs around the world to help disabled patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. Among the leading orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons who offered humanitarian assistance, Drs. Anish Kadakia 🇺🇸, Noman Siddiqui 🇺🇸, Mario Kuhn Adames 🇺🇸 🇧🇷, and Chul Hyun Park 🇰🇷 shared their expertise to educate, train, and perform surgeries on a dozen patients last August 10-14, 2025. Drs. Rachel Bergman (Fellow) and Paul Stickels (Resident) were welcomed as well. The host hospital was Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC) in Quezon City, and they delivered a wonderful gathering of experts.
Dr. Chinkin Coruña, attending in his capacity as President of the Philippine Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society 🇵🇭 (POFAS), supported the activities planned by the strong POC team headed by Dr. Jovito Ramil Paz. With the program a huge success, the outcomes will unfold as followup resumes. A fifth mission of Step2Walk is expected in the pipeline, and we look forward seeing you there!
